Ingredients

  • 5.3 oz (150g) rolled oats
  • 3.5 oz (100g) natural peanut butter
  • 2 fl oz (60ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder (optional)
  • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut (optional, for rolling)
  • A pinch of salt

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, natural peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and chia seeds. If desired, stir in the unsweetened cocoa powder.
  2. Mix vigorously with a spatula until the mixture is well combined and sticky. Ensure all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
  3. Take small portions of the mixture (about one heaped tablespoon) and roll them into compact balls between your palms.
  4. If using, immediately roll the balls in the desiccated coconut to coat them. Arrange on a plate or baking tray lined with baking parchment.
  5. Transfer to the fridge for at least 15-20 minutes to firm up. Serve directly from the fridge.
